Long Time Coming

Wow Miss Savannah, I sure have been behind on posting to this. So much has gone on someday I'll explain some of the events. Just know that you are loved at were loved so much by your Papi Mike. I know that he is in heaven playing with you as we speak, sometimes you just jump around so much and I think he's tickling you or something. Other than that we have had baby showers galore. So many people love you! You are goign to have a new cousin in May. Hopefully you guys will be really good friends. What fun! You are doing really well and growing just like you are supposed to be. That makes me happy. I can't wait to see your beautiful little face next month and to be able to snuggle with you. I love you little girl.

Little Savannah, I'm so happy to find out you are a Savannah. How much fun we are going to have, playing tea party, dolls, shopping, your mom is so excited to have a little girl coming. I am so excited!! I was online tonight looking for an audio book by John Macarthur. Nevermind who he is, you will not care about him.

But I did find this! Adventures in Odyssey on CD!

This radio program is awesome! It is meant for little people like you but even dads like it. Basically it is a Christian radio drama! And I can get all of the shows on CD!

You are going to love it! Maybe even more than nascar! I tell you what I am going to do starting with my next pay check, I am going to start buying one of the cd sets each month. And by the time you are old enough to listen to them we will have all of them. Now I can't promise I will not go ahead and listen to them my self cause they are that good!

Second Trimester

Dear Savijah,

Here we are embarking on the second trimester of our 9 month journey. We have reached week 14. Wow I can't believe it's been that long so far. No real news. Mommy is thinking about getting a new doctor for this whole thing as she isn't to pleased with the people we've been going to. We will know more tomorrow.

In a more happier news I bought a scrapbook to put all the memories for you. It's really cute, here's a picture of it.

Noah's Ark plus Fireflies. Your mommy loves both. In fact I think I've may have changed my mind and might try to find a way to see if someone will make you a quilt for your room with Noah's Ark. Instead of buying a baby set I'm going to see if someone will make you one. I gotta ask around though.

Well I hope you are doing ok in there. Hopefully I'll get to hear your little heart next week!!!

Hey Little One

Nothing new is going on, little one. I guess no news is good news right? Next month we get to hear your heart beating for the first time. And in 7 weeks we get to find out if you are a savannah or elijah and mommy gets to shop!! Eventhough some shopping has already begun, we have a carseat for you already and a diaper pail for whatever presents you cook up for daddy. Hehehe. You also have a new cousin Jade-Ann, she was a suprise to us all but now you have someone to play with when we visit the family in Oregon. Hopefully you guys will get to be really good friends. Well mommy just got back from a quick trip to NC so she is resting.

Books for Baby

Little One,

Mommy and Daddy made a great discovery today. As you will learn soon in your life your mommy and daddy love to read. We've been talkin about figuring out how daddy will read to you. Well we discovered books that have sheet of braille on it that are put into regular children books so daddy can read and you can follow along and read and look at the pictures. Get ready to enjoy Curious George, Dr. Seuss, and other great classics. We are going to actually start a subscription so we can start collecting them. Maybe we'll read them to you before you are even here. Hehe.

Dear Little One,

Don't listen to your daddy, if you want to cry when Nascar is on that's okay, sometimes I do it too. We can have Sunday afternoons for mom and baby time. We are excited about you, more than you know. I just wish January would get here aleady!!!!

Father's Day

Tomorrow is my first father's day. That is really cool.

Note to little Elijah or Savannah, you will be here next year for this most wonderful of days. Dad likes Nascar and music just giving you some gift ideas a year in advance.

Also there is a nascar race on fathers day afternoon, so if you could avoid crying or any mess ups during that time next year that would be awesome. Come to think of it little one, there is a nascar race most Sundays so if you could keep the rules in mind from Feburary until November I would be most happy.

 

First Picture

Dear Baby (or what are called at this point blob),

Today we got to see you for the first time, we won't talk about what mommy had to go through to get that first picture, but it was done. We are proud and have shown it to everyone. You played a little trick on us and are smaller than what we thought, meaning you are expected to come into the world now around January 31st. Many relatives birthdays and such are around this day so many people are hopin you may be a birthday present to them. Well, you momma is tired, she's had a long day. I hoep you look back on day at this silly picture and remember how special it was for me to see you in there with your little heart beating.

To My Little Baby,

I get to see you tomorrow for the first time. I've very excited and nervous at the same time. I think this will set for real that you are inside of my growing. Eventhough I know you are in there and I'm trying to take care of you as much as I can. As long with seeing you momma has to have a lot of tests done, but they all are so we know everything is going well when you are going inside of me!

I love you already. I actually had a dream that you are a little boy, maybe it's true. But why oh why must you make your momma have awful mornings like she did today? I can wait to see you inside of me next week. Can you try to say hi or wave? :-)

Yup It's True

This test says it all. On Memorial Day we went to CVS after spending the weekend with our friends and them encouraging me to buy on, and bought some of those sticks you pee on. Well I knew something wasn't right for a few weeks so I finally took a deep breath and went and took the test. About 30 seconds later (the instructions said 3 minutes) there were two pink lines. Thinking I had done it wrong, I took it again... same results. It was at that time I knew I had begun a new stage in my life. I told Corey and he said "what do two lines mean?" like he didn't know, and then gave me a huge hug. We proceded to call everyone in our phones or text them and let them know our excitement.

I haven't been feeling to bad, just tired. Today we went to the doctor where they confirmed our at home results and gave us a due date of January 10th. I am 8 weeks and 5 days along Yay!!!! On June the 16th we go in for a afternoon of tests and an ultrasound. We will have a picture then of our little Cook.

I'm so excited of what's to come in these next months. Hope you follow along as we share!!
